WealthOS is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not require bank connections, do not sell your data, and do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

1. Who We Are

WealthOS is operated by WealthOSIntel ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use WealthOS at getwealthos.app.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

Account information: Email address, first name, and last name (provided during signup)
Portfolio data: Asset names, values, cost basis, categories, and notes (entered by you)
Usage data: Basic analytics such as login timestamps and feature usage
Payment data: Processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Bank account credentials or passwords
Brokerage login information
Social security numbers or government IDs
Location data or IP address tracking

4. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain the WealthOS service
To generate portfolio analytics and AI-powered insights
To process your subscription through Paddle
To send important account notifications (e.g., password reset)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. AI Data Processing

When you use the AI chat feature, your portfolio data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized insights. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the duration of the request. We do not use your data to train AI models.

6. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (for customers outside the USA) or Paddle.com Inc (for customers in the USA), who serves as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy. WealthOS never has access to your credit card details.

7. Data Storage

Your account and portfolio data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with Row Level Security enabled, ensuring that your data is accessible only by you. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Data is cached locally in your browser for performance and offline access.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data (available through the dashboard and export feature)
Correct inaccurate data (editable through the dashboard)
Delete your data (contact support@getwealthos.app)
Export your data (JSON export available in the dashboard)

10. Cookies

WealthOS uses essential cookies and localStorage for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics services.

11. Children

WealthOS is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

12. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the application.
